Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –With every legislative session comes a capital outlay bill that funds public works projects around the state. The bill, still awaiting the Governor’s signature includes $4 million for Spaceport America’s runways and facility improvements. $20 million for improvements at State Parks, and over $26 million for affordable housing projects around NM. There’s $10 million for the construction of a Navajo Code Talkers museum in San Juan County, $75 million for construction of a new forensic unit at NM Behavioral Health Institute in Las Vegas and $280 million for construction of a new University of NM School of Medicine facility with additional funding for that project also included in other bills.
