Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –A Luna County couple has been sentenced for abusing their child in a case that included locking their 6-year old daughter in a shed in 2025. Judge Jennifer DeLaney sentenced Bruce Anglin to 7 and a half years in the NM Department of Corrections and Samantha Anglin to three years. The judge, however, suspended Samantha Anglin’s prison time and placed her on supervised probation. Luna County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Anglin’s home in June of 2025 after receiving reports of a child locked in a shed. Officers found the girl had been locked inside for over 24 hours. She was found with bruises, a swollen eye and needed medical attention. The Anglins were ordered to relinquish their rights to their children and can have no further contact with them.
