Las Cruces, NM (KKOB)— A Las Cruces jury has found one of the four suspects of a mass shooting that killed three people and injured 15 others guilty of murder.
Tomas Rivas was found guilty on all three counts of murder in the first degree for the shooting at Young Park in March 21, 2025 during an unsanctioned car meet.
This was the first trial regarding the deadly Young Park shooting.
Three other suspects are scheduled to go before a judge during the next three months, including Tomas’ brother Nathan whose trial is scheduled to begin on February 19.

No sentencing date has been set for Tomas Rivas.
