Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –Level 1 fire restrictions have been imposed on the Village of Ruidoso as officials respond to elevated fire danger restrictions. A briefing held on Saturday highlighted Level 1 restrictions as commercial fire pits specifically permitted by the fire marshal are allowed, as are outdoor cooking and charcoal grills. Non-permitted fire pits, campfires and all fireworks are strictly prohibited within village limits unless expressly approved. Village officials say citations will be issued with no exceptions and there will be no warnings for violations.
