Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –A clean fuels manufacturing facility is coming to Lovington. Blue Pony Energy of Houston is establishing a $1.6 billion facility which will convert natural gas into synthetic fuels and specialty products while reducing carbon intensity. The project is expected to create about 90 jobs and contribute $4.6 billion to NM’s economy over the next decade. Lovington Mayor Howard Roberts said, “The City of Lovington and the Lovington Economic Development Corporation are excited that the efforts of the past 12 months have resulted in Blue Pony choosing Lovington as their home.” Blue Pony estimates the facility should be up and running in about 5 years.
