Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –The Village of Corrales, New Mexico State Forestry and Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District have combined forces to begin eliminating invasive plants and reducing wildfire fuel across 107 acres of the Bosque. Officials are treating Salt Cedar, Russian Olive and Ravenna grass and thinning the area to reduce wildfire fuel. Three sections will be addressed, Romero road, Harvey Jones and north of the Alameda Bridge. Officials are asking people to stay out of the area during the project which is expected to last through this month.
