ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO – An Albuquerque home made famous by the AMC series Breaking Bad is back on the market — and this time, it’s listed for $400,000, a dramatic drop from the $4 million price tag it carried just over a year ago.
The home at 3828 Piermont NE, known to fans as Walter White’s house, was removed from the market in December before being relisted in early January by associate broker Alicia Feil. Feil, who has handled other Breaking Bad–related properties, said pricing the home at fair market value is expected to draw significantly more serious interest.
The property, built in 1972, features four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and 1,920 square feet of living space, according to the listing. The longtime owners lived there for more than 50 years, using it simply as a family home with a backyard pool, long before it became a tourism hotspot thanks to the series.
Since the show aired, the house has attracted steady crowds of fans — some respectful, others less so. At times, visitors attempted to reenact scenes, including throwing pizza on the roof, leading the family to install a fence for privacy and safety.
Feil said she can envision the home appealing either to a family looking for a traditional residence or to someone hoping to create a themed rental property, noting the persistent popularity of Breaking Bad tour stops throughout Albuquerque.
The home’s new price is close to Zillow’s estimated value of roughly $310,000, making the current listing far more in line with the neighborhood market.
