Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –A deadly shooting near Portales on Tuesday has resulted in the arrest of a suspect in Farwell, Texas. Deputies from the Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office were called for services regarding an unresponsive driver on NM 236. Police found 29 year old Jaime Portillo fatally shot. According to a release, Investigators identified 27 year old Jose Omar Santos as a suspect and arrested him in Texas. During a police interview Santos admitted to killing Portillo. Santos is charged with first degree murder.
