Santa Fe, NM (KKOB) – A Santa Fe man was killed by what appears to be a bullet discharged from a gun from his neighbors apartment.
Police answered a call to a home on Zepol Road after receiving a report of a deceased male located inside of his residence and found 54-year old Jose de Jesus Eguia Rosas of Houston dead.
During the search, detectives found a bullet hole from the direction of the adjacent apartment.
Detectives contacted the neighbor, who was identified as Kristjan Lucano. After questioning they determined that while handling a firearm in his own residence he unintentionally discharged the firearm toward Rosas residence. Police said, the discharge was not reported by Mr. Lucano, and no attempt was made to check the welfare of any occupants of adjacent residence.
Police charged 30-year old Kristjan Lucano of Santa Fe with multiple charges including Involuntary Manslaughter for not reporting the gun discharging or checking to see if anyone next door was hurt.
