Taos, NM (KKOB) – A Taos man is in jail this morning charged with first degree murder after police say he attacked and stabbed two brothers, stabbing one in the head and the other in the ear and killing him.
45-year old Vicente Martinez was arrested by Taos County deputies in Llano Quemado where they found 53-year old Abraham Fernandez dead from stab wounds to the ear. His brother was also on the scene suffering from a stab wound to the head and was treated at the hospital and released.
In a press release, Taos County Sheriff Steve Miera said that Martinez had confronted the brothers who were conducting a site survey at a property they owned.
The confrontation escalated when the stabbings occurred.
