Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –The Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe will receive over $13 million in federal funding for fiscal year 2026. Congress approved the allotment in a package covering Interior and Environment programs maintaining IAIA’s current funding level. A proposal by the Trump administration sought to eliminate the school’s federal appropriation entirely. The funding ensures the institute’s academic programs, student services, and day to day operations can continue in Santa Fe.
