ALBUQUERQUE, NM(KKOB) – Albuquerque Police are investigating a fatal crash that claimed the life of a 5-year-old girl in the parking lot of Presbyterian Hospital Downtown.
According to APD, the child and her father were crossing a marked crosswalk Tuesday morning when a pickup truck pulling a trailer struck the girl. She was rushed inside to the emergency room but later died from her injuries.
The crash happened near 1100 Central Avenue SE, and police say the investigation is ongoing. Streets in the area remain closed as crime scene investigators collect evidence. No additional details have been released.
