Albuquerque, NM(KKOB) – Two New Mexico Pueblos are getting a boost from federal funding for clean water and environmental projects.
Federal grants are headed to two New Mexico Pueblos for environmental and water quality projects. The Pueblo of Taos will receive more than $318,000 to support outreach and develop emissions inventories for winter and summer.
The Pueblo of Tesuque will get almost $300,000 from the EPA to improve water quality in rivers, lakes, and groundwater. Officials say the funding will also help both Pueblos enhance community education and involvement in sustainability programs.
