Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – A Bernalillo County Sherriff’s deputy is on leave without pay for his arrest on DWI charges in November of last year in Colorado. Deputy Lorenzo Herrera who is assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division was arrested in Breckenridge, Colorado.
He will remain on leave while the criminal case and the sheriff’s department internal investigation proceeds.
In a statement, Sheriff John Allen was extremely disappointed to learn of this case and has a zero tolerance for any BCSO employee who violates the law and undermines the trust of the community we serve”
