Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –Property tax issues in Valencia county continue to plague homeowners and several residents showed up to a Valencia county commission meeting Wednesday night to voice their concerns. The issue stems from a clerical error that happened in November leading to hefty tax bills. The county promised to fix the problem but residents say the second bill still has issues. County officials say the duplicate lines are a software issue. They say property owners are welcome to visit their offices for more clarity and no penalties will be issued for late payments.
