Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –An Albuquerque woman should be behind bars after being convicted earlier this year of aggravated battery. The incident happened in November 2024 after a traffic accident when Heather Lopez pulled out a handgun and shot Pablo Lujan after hitting his truck. Lujan was shot in the back by Lopez leaving him with lifelong injuries. Lopez faced up to eight years in prison but a judge sentenced her to three years behind bars. Her attorney asked for an extension of surrender date saying she suffered a stroke and needed medical attention. Her surrender date was moved to December 13th. There is now a warrant out for her arrest. No word on Lopez’ whereabouts.
