ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Albuquerque International Sunport is experiencing a holiday travel spike, as the Transportation Security Administration expects 266,000 passengers to pass through the airport this season. With TSA naming Dec. 29 as one of the busiest travel days nationwide, ridership peaked yesterday at 20,000 travelers, with 18,000 screened today.

- Record-breaking travel volume: AAA forecasts 122.4 million Americans will travel at least 50 miles between Dec. 20 and Jan. 1—a 2.2% increase over last year.
