Albuquerque, NM(KKOB) – A Sandoval County sheriff’s deputy is out on bond after his arrest in Albuquerque on DWI charges. According to reports by Albuquerque police, deputy Kevin Saiz, ran a red light at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr avenue and Broadway in the downtown area, and nearly caused a crash. The incident happened in the early morning hours of Sunday morning. According to the criminal complaint, Saiz admitted to having a drink at the Lobo game hours earlier. The officer reported, that Saiz “performed poorly on the field sobriety test and then refused a breathalyzer test. This led to charges of aggravated DWI.
