Albuquerque, NM(KKOB) – A 22-year old Albuquerque man who killed two people in a high speed crash in 2024 has been sentenced to 30 years in prison. Benjamin Guiang, was charged with two counts of homicide by vehicle driving under the influence for the crash that killed his cousin and her boyfriend. The crash happened on Unver Blvd and Western Blvd in west Albuquerque. Both passengers were ejected from the vehicle when the crash happened and were pronounced dead on the scene. Judge Britt Baca, also sentenced Guiang to house arrest with an ankle monitor for one year and also five years of probation. If Guiang violates probation, he would face up to 29 years in prison.
