Albuquerque(KKOB)- Valencia County residents are being asked to hold off paying their property taxes. According to the Valencia County Treasurer’s Office, the 2025 property tax mill rates for county properties were sent out using the wrong taxable value.
According to treasurer Ron Saiz, the Local Government Division of the Department of Finance and Administration, is working to correct the mill rates and then send out the new tax bills.
Payments sent based on the incorrect mill rates, will have to be adjusted manually and according to Saiz, that process may result in delays or “Reconcilliation issuses” for both the county and the property owner.
