Albuquerque (KKOB)- The former Inspector General for the city of Albuquerque, has filed a lawsuit against the city and mayor Tim Keller. Melissa Santistevan, alleges in her suit, she was wrongfully removed from her position because of harassment and threats from the Accountability in Government Oversight Committee and the mayor.
According to a report by KOAT, the lawsuit claims Santistevan, faced the harassment during meetings of the committee where reports of fraud, waste, or abuse within the city were presented and is also claiming pay discrimination.
Santistevan announced in March that nine reports of fraud, waste or abuse were blocked after a committee meeting was canceled and four reports have yet to be released.
