Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – A vehicle crashed into a business Monday morning in the area of 2nd Street and Griegos resulting in a fire. Around 3am fire crews arrived on the scene and reported a fire in a large workshop of an auto repair business, as well as observing the vehicle had crashed into the structure. The fire was brought under control in 10 minutes and damage was minimized by the quick response by Albuquerque Fire Rescue crews.
The building did suffer substantial smoke damage, several vehicles inside the building also received smoke damage. One person was evaluated by EMS on the scene no other injuries were reported. According to AFR The cause of the fire appeared to be due to a downed power pole as a result of the crash.
