Las Cruces, NM (KKOB) – A Las Cruces teen has pled guilty to his involvement in a “smash-and-grab” robbery of a gun store in November of 2025.
According to the Dona Ana County District Attorney’s office, the 17-year-old pleaded guilty to aggravated burglary and seven other felonies in connection with the burglary of Strykers Shooting World. There were a total of six teens involved in the burglary and the 17-year old is the second suspect to be convicted of what the DA called, “one of the most egregious juvenile offenses” that his office has prosecuted, describing it as “a military-style operation because of the level of planning and coordination.”

The second suspect, also a 17-year-old, pleaded no contest to charges in June. District Attorney Fernando Macias is asking that both teenagers be sentenced as adults.
