Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –Two crashes on westbound I-40 on Sunday resulted in one death and critical injuries for three others. Moriarty firefighters responded to help Torrance County firefighters about 7:35 Sunday night with two separate crashes at mile marker 194. The first crash left two people in critical condition while the second crash left one person dead and another in critical condition. The second crash happened while traffic was slowing down for the first crash. Traffic was diverted off of the interstate and onto RT 66 for several hours. The Torrance County Sheriff’s office is investigating the cause of the first crash.
