Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –A stabbing incident in Roswell on Tuesday evening has resulted in the arrest of one man. Roswell Police were called to an apartment complex on West Summit Street around 5:30pm on Tuesday. When they arrived they located two men with multiple stab wounds. Police detained Michael G. Trujillo and according to a criminal complaint, Trujillo had been in an argument with his girlfriend in their apartment. The girlfriend called her mother to give her a ride from the apartment. The mother arrived accompanied by a male friend who remained in the car. Trujillo then took a kitchen knife from the apartment and went outside and stabbed the man waiting in the car. Trujillo allegedly also stabbed himself in the stomach. The victim was flown to a nearby hospital where his condition remains unknown. Trujillo was treated and then booked into the Chaves County Detention Center. Trujillo has an extensive criminal history and now has aggravated battery, tampering with evidence, battery on a peace officer, and two counts of resisting or obstructing an officer.
