Farmington, NM (KKOB) – In San Juan County, a regional drug task force says it has taken down 20 separate drug-trafficking operations. The Region II Narcotics Task Force reports seizing over 100-thousand fentanyl pills and 55 pounds of fentanyl powder. Agents also collected 47 pounds of meth, more than a pound of cocaine, and more than half a pound of heroin. Sixteen people tied to the investigations are now federally indicted on drug and gun charges. According to federal guidelines, potential prison sentences range from five to 25 years if the defendants are found guilty.
