Santa Fe, NM (KKOB) – The City Different is going after illegal massage parlors around Santa Fe. In one situation, the massage parlor was located across the street from Salazar Elementary near Cerillos Road and St. Francis Drive. The New Mexican reports, that the massage parlor was shutdown after the city council finance committee issued a cease-and-desist order and is one of four the city has shut down since July of 2025. Some of the massage parlors were operating without a current business license or didn’t pass a city inspection. City leaders say that going after the illegal massage parlors by using administrative laws is more effective than using criminal laws because very few if any complaints are made against the parlors. The city believes there are 15 to 20 businesses in Santa Fe are currently operating as illicit massage parlors.
