The man claiming to be an Uber driver will remain behind bars while awaiting trial. Ruben Dario Gonzalez is accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a 13 year old girl in Rio Rancho. The girl was long boarding near her home when Gonzalez told he was an uber driver sent by her father and theatened to kill her if she didn’t get in the car. Police say he then drove her around, telling her to smoke marijuana and then sexually assaulted the girl twice. She was able to escape after getting Gonzalez to stop at a gas station where she called for help. Judge Joseph Montano ruled today that Gonzalez will remain in custody until trial.
