Albuquerque NM (KKOB) –If you’ve ever thought about working local elections as a poll worker you’re chance to find out what it’s all about is coming. The Bernalillo County Clerk’s office will host a poll worker recruitment event this Thursday at the Albuquerque Press Club. The event begins at 5pm and will offer those interested an informal opportunity to learn all about working in this year’s general election. Members of the clerk’s office will be on hand to answer questions about poll worker positions, training, responsibilities and the application process. Poll worker positions are paid and each election the clerk’s office hires and trains nearly 1000 poll workers. The Albuquerque Press Club is at 201 HIghland Park Circle SE.
