Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — The U.S. Department of State says it has revoked more than 900 visas as part of a new task force targeting birth tourism. Federal officials say the effort focuses on people who allegedly misrepresent the purpose of their travel when applying for tourist visas and then travel to the United States to give birth. The State Department says it’s reviewing both pending applications and previously issued visas while coordinating with other federal agencies.
