ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Bernalillo County prosecutors have dropped charges against country music artist Bailey Zimmerman following an incident tied to a canceled concert earlier this year.
According to court documents, the case was dismissed after Zimmerman made full restitution for approximately $16,000 in damages at Sandia Resort and Casino. Investigators had accused Zimmerman of causing the damage in May after canceling a scheduled performance.
The incident led to charges including criminal damage to property and falsely obtaining services. Authorities said the situation resulted in the concert being canceled and damage to a hotel room.
Zimmerman issued an apology earlier this week, acknowledging the impact on fans and organizers. In part, he said fans who showed up for the performance “deserved better.”
In a statement released Wednesday, Zimmerman’s attorney said the charges were dismissed after the artist took responsibility. The statement described the outcome as a “swift resolution” and expressed appreciation to the Pueblo of Sandia and the district attorney’s office.
Officials have not released additional details, and the case is now considered resolved.
