Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –The New Mexico Public Education Department’s struggling schools list has added two Albuquerque area schools. Manzano High School and eCademy, APS’s online high school were both highlighted for comprehensive support and improvement by the PED and must implement a plan to improve the number of students graduating. Schools that do not improve move into the more rigorous intervention stage. Manzano’s most recent four-year graduation rate was 67.69% for the Class of 2025. School officials hope to increase the graduation rate by 4 percentage points in the 2026-27 school year. eCademy reported a graduation rate of 55.78%, a decrease of over 8% between 2022-23 and 2024-25 school years. APS reports a district-wide graduation rate of over 76% for the class of 2025, not including charter schools.
