Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — New Mexico is receiving national recognition for its growing role in the quantum technology industry. The state has been named a Featured Quantum Ecosystem at Quantum World Congress 2026, becoming one of only two states selected for the honor. State officials say New Mexico has invested more than $450 million into quantum research, workforce development, and infrastructure. Those efforts include projects like ABQ-Net, an open-access quantum network, and the Roadrunner Quantum Lab. Leaders say the recognition highlights New Mexico’s success in turning scientific research into new businesses, jobs, and economic growth.
