Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – A search was expected to resume today by Albuquerque Fire Rescue in the Four Hills area following an incident that happened around 6:30 yesterday evening where one person had to be rescaled from the arroyo during heavy rains that came down in the Northeast Heights.
The initial call reported two people were caught in running waters at Four Hills and Rachel. A Lieutenant, who is also AFR’s Technical Rescue Coordinator was first on scene and was able to throw a rope to a person stuck in the water and help him climb out of the channel. The person did not sustain injuries.

AFR crews and APD Open Space officers continued searching for the second person but the search had to be suspended during nightfall.
