Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller has signed an updated ordinance requiring vacant building owners to register and maintain their buildings. The expanded ordinance requires all floors of the buildings to be maintained and comes with enforcement. The change in the ordinance happened after a wall collapsed at Lindy’s Diner in downtown Albuquerque. At the time the second floor of the building was vacant.
