GALLUP, N.M. — Gallup police are asking for the public’s help as they investigate a suspicious death after a body was discovered Tuesday in a field on the city’s north side.
According to the Gallup Police Department, officers responded to an area north of North 6th Street, where a deceased individual was found.
The Gallup Police Department and Gallup Fire Department responded to the scene and spent several hours processing the area as part of the investigation.
Authorities are currently treating the case as a suspicious death, though few details have been released about the circumstances surrounding the discovery.
Investigators are asking anyone with information that could assist the case to contact Detective Tasheena Wilson with the Gallup Police Department.
Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
The investigation remains ongoing.
