ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The New Mexico State Fair is bringing back its flagship music festival, Soundwave NM, for a second year, highlighting some of the state’s top musical talent during the 2026 fair.
The one-day festival is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Chevron Pavilion and will feature six New Mexico-based acts performing throughout the day in a festival-style format. Performances are set to begin at 11 a.m.
State Fair General Manager Dan Mourning said the event continues the fair’s longstanding tradition of showcasing local musicians while providing fairgoers with a dedicated music festival experience.
The 2026 Soundwave NM lineup includes:
- Edward Brewer
- JD Nash & The Rash of Cash
- Clarq
- The Backlash
- Russian Girlfriends
- Metalachi
Fair officials said admission to Soundwave NM is included with the purchase of a regular New Mexico State Fair ticket.
The 2026 New Mexico State Fair is scheduled to run from Sept. 10 through Sept. 20. This year’s fair will also commemorate the 100th anniversary of Route 66, with additional entertainment and special events planned throughout the celebration.
