Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –The City of Albuquerque would like to see affordable multifamily housing take over the former Shriners property on Zuni Road in SE Albuquerque. The city has issued a Request for Proposals and invites qualified nonprofit developers to submit plans for constructing between 40 and 100 affordable rental units at the city owned property. The project is supported by approximately $6.6 million in federal HOME ARP funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Proposals are due by Sept 30th. the Department of Health, Housing and Homelessness will oversee the selection process.
