Logan, NM ( KKOB) – Two people drowned in two separate incidents at Ute lake near Logan in Quay County over the 4th of July weekend according to State Police.
NMSP reports they were called to Ute Lake on Sunday night for a reported drowning after a man had fallen from a boat his body was recovered on Monday morning.
Late Monday, NMSP confirmed a second drowning that occured on Saturday July 4, around 5:30 p.m., Officers were called to Ute Lake following reports of a man who had been swimming and did not re-surface. The second victim’s body has not been recovered.
