SANTA FE, N.M. — Meow Wolf’s annual “Monster Battle” is returning to the Santa Fe Railyard next month, bringing a free, all-ages event centered around costumes, music, and interactive art.
The event is scheduled for Friday, July 17 from 6 to 10 p.m. and will feature live music from Fleetmac Wood, Galaxy, and Autumn Attic.
Organizers say attendees are encouraged to come in costume and take part in a dance party-style gathering, with costume contests for both adults and children. Winners will receive trophies created by Meow Wolf artists along with additional prizes.
The event traces its origins back to 2008, when Meow Wolf artists staged an informal costume dance-off in downtown Santa Fe. It has since grown into a recurring community event.
Admission is free, and no tickets or reservations are required.
