Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – An Albuquerque man is now awaiting his sentence following his conviction for sexually assaulting a woman and making threats to keep her quiet.
Yesterday, a jury convicted Joshua Bazan of multiple crimes, that happened last year, and include Criminal Sexual Assault, Bribery of a Witness, Aggravated Battery with Great Bodily Harm, and False Imprisonment.
Court records showed that Bazan knew his victim. e strangled her, punched and kicked her, and repeatedly sexually assaulted her. Bazan threatened the victim and told her not to tell anyone. The victim was hospitalized because of her injuries from the assault.
Bazan is facing more than two decades in prison. Sentencing will take place at a later date.
