Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –An Independence day celebration concert will be held this Friday, July 3rd at the ABQ BioPark Botanic Garden. The NM Philharmonic will perform orchestral music with patriotic and Broadway classics in the Botanic Garden setting beginning at 7:30pm. The concert will be led by conductor Jason Altieri and feature a program celebrating America’s 250th anniversary with selections like Gershwin’s Strike Up the Band, Sousa’s Stars and Stripes Forever and Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture. Gates will open an hour earlier at 6:30pm giving attendees time to stroll the gardens prior to the concert. Tickets are available online at the City’s website.
