Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –Current fire conditions and weather forecasts that indicate an increased risk of wildfire activity have prompted fire officials to elevate the fire danger level to Very High across the Albuquerque metro area and the Sandia Ranger District. According to AFR, Level 2 Open Space Patrols have been activated and will remain in effect through July 20th. AFR wildland crews will increase time monitoring high-risk areas throughout the city’s open spaces and surrounding wildland areas.
