Edgewood, NM (KKOB)- Edgewood town leaders have approved a plan to move forward with fire and emergency medical services.
The Town Commission voted 5-0 during a special meeting to adopt an ordinance pledging gross receipts tax revenue to fund its agreement with the Santa Fe County Fire Department. Under the deal, Edgewood will pay about 10,000 dollars a month for support, equipment, and operations over the next 18-and-a-half years. The total cost is estimated at 2.27 million dollars. The agreement helps secure continued fire and EMS services for the community.
