Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –Due to increased fire danger Stage II (two) Fire Restrictions will begin this Thursday on the Mt. Taylor Ranger District. The restriction is to reduce the risk of human caused wildfires during periods of high fire danger and severe fire weather conditions. State II fire restrictions mean no building a fire, no using campfires, camping stoves, no smoking, and no using a motor vehicle off National Forest system roads or on all lands and trails. The restrictions will remain in place through August 31st or until conditions change in the area.
