Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – Albuquerque Fire Rescue responding to an early morning house fire in Southeast Albuquerque. Fire crews were sent to a home in the 600 block of Madeira Dr SE for reports of a residential structure fire. The first units on the scene reported a working fire with smoke and flames showing and firefighters were able to put out the fire within 22 minutes of their arrival.
Damage to the home was mostly contained to the front of the home with water and smoke damage throughout. One person was treated on scene and refused transport to hospital, while one occupant was displaced and received assistance by family.
AFR Fire Investigators are now trying to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
