Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – An apartment fire Tuesday morning displaced several residents in the Southeast part of the city.
Just before 10:30am, AFR was dispatched to 420 Vermont NE for a reported structure fire at an apartment complex. As fire crews arrived on scene, they confirmed a working fire on the upper floor of a two-story apartment building, and established command.
The fire was contained primarily to the kitchen of one apartment and was quickly brought under control.
The other adjacent apartments did suffer smoke and water damage. No injuries were reported. Nine occupants were displaced and are receiving help from the Red Cross. The cause of the fire appears to be accidental. #abqfirerescue
