Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –Route 66’s centennial birthday will be commemorated with a set of eight stamps this year. The U.S. Postal Service will unveil the stamps at the National Postal forum in Phoenix on May 5th. Eight different photographs will feature sites from each state along Route 66. New Mexico’s stamp will feature an old Grants Cafe sign. Route 66 was established in 1926 and stretches 2400 miles from Chicago to Los Angeles.
