Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –The Republican Party of New Mexico held its 2026 Pre-Primary Convention on Saturday in Ruidoso. Nearly 450 delegates in attendance voted for Governor, Lt. Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, Commissioner of Public Lands and Congressional Districts 1, 2. and 3. Candidates for Governor who qualified to be on the primary ballot were former Rio Rancho mayor, Gregg Hull and Albuquerque businessman, Doug Turner. Candidate Duke Rodriguez claimed his campaign has over 8,000 signatures and therefore already qualifies to be on the ballot. According to the NM Secretary of State’s office, candidates who did not have enough delegates to make the ballot have until March 17th to file a new declaration of candidacy and submit their signatures.
