Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – One person was caught in fast moving waters in an arroyo in northeast Albuquerque yesterday afternoon. Albuquerque Fire Rescue answered a 911 call about a person caught in the water in the arroyo along Carlisle and the eastbound I-40 off-ramp around 4:30 p.m.
When the first units arrived they found a person was being removed from the flood channel by bystanders.
The patient was evaluated and then transported to a local hospital.
Firefighters remind everyone arroyos can be very dangerous during monsoon season and fill up very fast during storms.
